An in-depth look of Deputy Chad Biernacki of the Walton County Sheriffs Department. Chad age 35 (I think) has been with the department for approximately 12 years. In 2010, Chad was awarded a canine partner named Nero trained specifically to sniff out drugs and it would not be long before Nero gets a major bust. You can read about that here.
In 2012, Chad responded to a child in distress call. When Biernacki arrived on scene he saw a 6-day-old infant choking and turning purple. Chad was trained for this situation and immediately started performing back thrusts until the infant started spitting up. With the mother’s help of clearing the throat and mouth, the infant made a full recovery. You can read more about this story on Facebook at this link.
I found a DVD on Amazon that shows step by step instructions on choking & CPR for babies here.
In 2016, Chad Biernacki made a traffic stop and used this situation wisely as he and other deputies helped a family in need by buying food, clothes, a hotel room, and more. You can read more about this story here.
In the picture above Chad is testing a woman after he found lots of whip-its in her car.
In 2013, Chad Biernacki was involved in an accident on the beach, where he accidentally ran over a 21-year-old girl sleeping on a bench, in his truck. He had just finished issuing notices to appear in court to underage drinkers.
After asking a man for his ID and the bike rider obliges by reaching into his back pocket to pull out his wallet. Chad Biernacki felt compelled and scared enough to draw his weapon. The man was pulled over for riding his bike on the wrong side of the road when there was no traffic. When asked, why he was riding on the wrong side of the road, he replied: “Because I did not know if you would see me or not and wanted to get out of your way.”
