born May 20, 1966 (51 years-old), hosts the hit shows on A&E, Live PD and 60 Days In. I have compiled some information on Dan from all over the internet to help you get to know him a little bit better. Now, that I know more about Dan’s past and expertise of the law, I can’t help but wonder if he will express more of the legal point-of-view during the Live PD show. I am sure that is why A&E put him there as the host, but feel with the high popularity of law enforcement, he has been somewhat reserved.
- According to ans-wer.com Dan’s net worth is $23 million (Gulp).
- He graduated high school at Riverdale Country School in 1984.
- Received B.A. in political science from Duke University in 1988.
- Received J.D. from Columbia University Law School in 1992.
- Has an honorary law degree from Stetson University.
Dan was graced with his first child in 2012, Florinka Pesenti and Dan named their son Everett. The two met on The Amazing Race 3. Dan’s sister Ronnie Abrams became a federal judge in 2012. Dan’s parents Floyd and Efrat are of Jewish descent.
Dan is also an author!!!!!
In 2010, Dan published the book Man Down: Proof Beyond a Reasonable Doubt That Women Are Better Cops, Drivers, Gamblers, Spies, World Leaders, Beer Tasters, Hedge Fund Managers and Just About Everything Else. If you don’t want to buy the book here is an interesting article of Dan Abrams thoughts of men and women. Would love to hear your thoughts on this matter, as I believe there is handicapping involved to boost the statistics talked about.
Dan Abrams name was not spoken much in my household until I ran into the Live PD show. I believe one of his most memorable moments on the show was the car chase with a child. Chris Mastrianni was able to capture the subject and comfort the child (which received injuries from the abuse). Dan admitted on air that the scene was emotionally draining. Looking at his long and impressive resume, it is hard to believe I did not remember him as he covered (to name a few) the OJ Simpson case on Court TV. He also covered the trials of Dr. Jack Kevorkian. After becoming the chief legal correspondent for NBC NEWS, he scored his own show The Abrams report on MS NBC in 2001. Dan has been all over the place in his career and you can view the breakdown on Wikipedia.
To end the article, apparently, even millionaires in Manhattan still have issues with neighbors. You can read about Dan’s lawsuit against two board members of the complex he resides in, here.
